So Big, So Small

“Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call meTake me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Saviour

I will call upon Your Name
Keep my eyes above the waves
My soul will rest in Your embrace
I am Yours and You are mine”

There is No Use Walking

Something I have struggled with in the past is compartmentalizing my life. Do I still compartmentalize my life? Yes, absolutely. But the more I set my eyes on Jesus, the more the lines fade. Having been raised in a Christian home I knew all the right ‘Christian’ responses growing up and I knew how to act depending on who I was with. At church I was one person, with my friends another, and at work another. But as a follower of Christ we are called to be imitators of Jesus. And to Jesus work, play, and ministry were all one in the same. So why should it be any different for us?
.
I love this quote by Francis of Assisi. “It is no use walking anywhere to preach unless our walking is our preaching.” Our number one call as a Christian is to bring glory to Him by making disciples. Our walking, talking, and living should be preaching. Every aspect of our lives should be songs of praise! He is still working wonders in me and it is my daily prayer that people would see more of Him and less of me in my life.
“He must become greater; I must become less.”
John 3:30

You Get to Choose

“Embrace the responsibility

You don’t have to prove how good you are. Just be how good
you are.

You don’t need anyone else’s permission to live your dreams.
Give yourself permission, and inspiration, and a sincere
reason, and go for it.

The quality of your life is not determined by what other
people choose to think of you. It is determined by what you
choose to think and do.

Stop wishing for someone to bail you out, or waiting for
someone to give you a break. Give yourself a nudge forward,
then get moving, keep moving and don’t stop moving.

Consider your good fortune at being able to act on your own
behalf. Appreciate the fact that you are responsible for the
way your life unfolds.

Embrace that responsibility and all the good things it makes
possible. Live that responsibility, and make your life live
up to your very best expectations.”
