“Start by doing what’s necessary;
then do what’s possible;
& suddenly you are doing the impossible.”
– Saint Francis of Assisi

This quote reminds me of
Caleb & my 2014 plans.
The Lord has given us plans to
finish what is necessary,
so we can move on to do what is possible {news we CAN’T WAIT to share with you all!!},
and finally, He will help us to do what is impossible.

Right now we are just tying up some lose ends
before we announce the big news
the Lord has in store for us.
{no, we are not pregnant}

Each year of life keeps getting better.
The Lord has taken me, a broken individual,
& has made me whole.
He has given me a new life.
He has given me a partner, a best friend,
who enjoys adventures as much as I do.

During this holiday season
we are spending less time on the blog
and more time with family and friends.
Posts will return to being regular
in the new year!

Our hearts are overwhelmed with thankfulness
for what the Lord has done in 2013.
We cannot wait to see how He works
in 2014.
His plans always far exceed my own.

We cannot wait to share with you His plans for our future 🙂

Make Yourself Proud

NewYearsGoalBeyondblessedblog

How serious are you about achieving your goals for 2013? I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to achieve each of mine! Did you know that if you write something down than it is more likely to happen? Many studies show that those who are able to visually see their goals are more likely  to achieve them. If you write down your goals than you are 33% more likely to be successful. That is pretty impressive. So if you haven’t already, write down each of your goals and the steps needed to achieve them (in detail- must these steps be done monthly, weekly, daily?). Hang up your goals where you will see them often. If you really want to achieve them share your goals with someone who can hold you accountable. Each week tell them your goal and at the end of the week set a time where your accountability partner may ask you if you achieved your weekly goal. I have learned that if you don’t set a time, it won’t happen- so be intentional about it! My husband and I sit down every Sunday after church and go over our weekly questions and budget. In 2013 we will be adding our goal list to this weekly mini date. Feel free to hold me accountable as well! The more the merrier!

Make sure your goals are specific, meaningful, achievable, relevant, and timely.

Time to get writing!

It’s Almost Here

Hello all! Hope that each of you had a very merry, blessed Christmas! Can you believe that the end of 2012 is just around the corner? After having dreamed, yearned for, and planned every detail of August 24, 2012 for well over a year I cannot believe it is almost 2013. I don’t know about you but I am beyond excited  to see what this next year holds. While I have am very excited to accomplish my goals for 2013, I am even more excited to see how the Lord will bless Caleb & I- in both the expected and unexpected ways. On January 1st Caleb & I are going to begin with an empty jar. (Any cute jar recommendations are welcome. I’m thinking maybe a mason jar? Maybe wrapped in lace?) Throughout the year we will write the good things that happen to us on a piece of paper and place it into the jar. Then on December 31st we will open the jar and read all of the blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon us. Do you have any fun plans or ideas for 2013?
