Good morning! Can you believe it is already June?! I absolutely love this month and all that comes with it- bring on the sunshine, loved ones, and bright colors! And as usual, a new month brings on new goals. One of my goals for this month is to do something a little different with my daily Proverbs quiet time. For the past few years I have been reading one chapter of Proverbs a day. This month I want to be more intentional with my Proverbs reading. Each day I am going to make a list of 3 new “lessons” I can apply to that day. For example, the lessons I chose for today from Proverbs chapter 1 may be found in verses 5, 15, & 32.
Today I am going to make every effort to listen, to be aware of the path I am walking on, and to be intentional. Verses 1-7 explain the purpose of the book of Proverbs. I want to take verse 5 and be intentional about listening to what He is trying to teach me & to listen to where He is guiding me. Verses 8-19 talk about being careful who you choose to be friends with. These verses warn us to not “set foot” on the wrong path– not even one foot. I want to make sure that each step I take today leads me down the path of righteousness. The third lesson I am focusing on today is being intentional. Verse 32 talks about how complacency destroys. Today I want to be intentional with my time, with my words, and with my relationships.
I would love for you to join me in this challenge for the month! If you do your daily 3 lessons may be vastly different than mine- and that is great! I would love to hear what 3 lessons stand out to you each day. What would your 3 lessons be for today?
