Work It

I would by no means consider myself a workout junkie or a gym rat, but I am beginning to enjoy the gym a bit more. Summer is 13 weeks (give or take) away and I am determined to get back to feeling confident in tanks and shorts. Recently I have been in an anti-running mood (which is not good considering we don’t have access to a regular gym currently… so running is just about our only source of good cardio). My incredibly sweet, wonderful Husband noticed this lack of desire and decided to buy me something to inspire me to run again. You see, I have been eyeing these beautiful coral and purple Nike Free running shoes for a few weeks now and he decided this was the perfect excuse to buy them. (And my other shoes were regular, heavy, “training” shoes and they have been well loved). Hubby said these shoes were a 7 month of marriage gift. Is he not the sweetest?! Anyways, I now am newly-inspired and am back to loving running. I even hit a personal best this weekend! Don’t laugh, 4 consistent miles is a big deal for me- ha. Especially on a boring treadmill. (Insert happy dance!)

Now I wonder if getting cute workout gear is the trick to sticking to training? What are some of your favorites? When I reach personal goals I may have to start rewarding myself with little workout pieces like these below. And thanks to the Peanut Butter Fingers blog I now know that Old Navy has some great, reasonably priced pieces! Where do you get your workout gear? (Below you will find a few on my favorites- including more expensive pieces from places like Lululemon to less expensive pieces from places like Old Navy. I even found a cute top on etsy!)

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,
let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.
And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,”
